'Water made by water'
Part of 'the element series'.
I made this series firsthand with artificial paint. However after getting more familiar with working with natural pigments,  I explored how the element looks like when they are made with pigments coming for the element they are representing. So, the paintings are not only visualizing the element but also embodying them. 
 
Water is visualized by a mermaid. It symbolizes the feminine energy, renewal, independence, mystery and beauty. The pigments I used are coming from beach sand, spirulina, river mud, seaweed and paprika (since this is one of the veggies that exists out of the biggest amount of water: 90 -95%).
