Happy to share that the mooncalendar for 2025 is finished! Its a joy to now have designed a mooncalendar for 3 years in a row. Firsthand, because I like it for myself to have a nice overview of the mooncycles ahead of us, and secondly because so many of you seem to appreciate it too.

This years' mooncalender is inspired on a local fairytale 'The Indian Water Lillies' written by Queen Fabiola of Belgium in 1955. It has been featured in the Dutch attractionpark the Efteling in 1966, by the design of the dutch illustrator Anton Pieck and by this it became a fairytale I grew up with. The story goes about a moonfairy that let her starchildren dance in the Indian Lake by full moon when the witch is singing here magical song.

My work has a lot of folkloric influences from all over the world but the last years I have been more eager to find out more about the foklorism of my own culture. Being again in the Netherlands for a year after almost being a year abroad in last year has also been an influence in this. To embrace that I thought it would be nice to let the fairytale of the Indian Waterlillies be a part and soure of inspiration in the new mooncalendar design. I hope the story and design also resonates with you!

If you are interested in purchasing one. As last years, I am selling a A4 and A3 formats prints for 30 of 40 euro's. The Print will come with the natural pigment overview that I used and a moon cycle chart that helps to understand how to read this chart.

The prints are high quality and pressed on ecofiber paper.
